MINUTES OF FIRE DEPARTMENT MEETING
OF THE
MISQUAMICUT FIRE DISTRICT

September 6, 2005

The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Captain Steve Howard. The meeting minutes from the August 2, 2005 meeting were read. A motion was made, seconded and voted to accept the meeting minutes. The Treasurer reported a balance of $10,984.02, of which, $6996.43 is in the contingency fund. A motion was made, seconded and voted to accept the Treasurer's Report.

Chief Misto:
-Response to Pleasant View Fire was excellent.
-Make sure run forms are filled out correctly.
-Some rework will be needed for the new fire truck -Make sure alcohol is not left unsecured in the station. -Soda machine-$.50 per can, will be open work nights and after call-outs if needed.

Deputy Chief Turnberg:
-No report

Deputy Chief Findeisen:
-No report

Training Officer Mike Misto:
-CPR/AED refresher training will be on September 19, 2005 at 6:00 pm.
-Back to basics training will be at the end of the month.
-Pump operator course will be next month.

Committee Reports:
-Steak Fry-250 steaks have been ordered. Need help during the day of the steak fry.
-Raffle Committee - Still obtaining donations
-Nominating Committee will consist of Doug Turnberg, Jon Turnberg and Jordan Olson. -Building Committee-Fan needs to be hooked up

Communications:
-Thank you received from St. Clare's Church for use of Station

Unfinished Business:
-Phil Panciera has new plaques.

New Business:
-Phil Siniscalco will be moving to Florida

Good of the Department:
-Roger Hall made a motion to credit individuals that did not attend training last month. He was of the understanding that it was only for a small group of firefighters and did not attend. There was no second.
-New kitchen sink and table are in, bathroom sink will be installed, there is a new door closer on the bathroom door.
-Banquet Committee consisting of Doug Turnberg, Steve Pont, Todd Findeisen and Lou Misto will come up with alternatives for this year

A motion was made and seconded to adjourn the meeting at 7:30 p.m.
