MINUTES OF FIRE DEPARTMENT MEETING
OF THE
MISQUAMICUT FIRE DISTRICT
January 3, 2006

The Meeting was called to order at 7:00PM by Member Gil Scott. The meeting minutes from the December 6, 2005 meeting were read. A motion was made, seconded and voted to accept the meeting minutes. The Treasurer reported a balance of $ 23,909.07, of which $7,745.34 is in the contingency fund. A motion was made, seconded and voted to accept the Treasurer's Report.

Chief Misto: We have our new thermal imaging camera, please look at it and get a feel for it. It will be mounted in 203, see the Chief with any questions. The rain gutter in back will be fixed in a week or two. See the Chief with any budget items for next year. Fit testing will be next Tuesday. Watch for icy roads and dress warmly for calls.

Deputy Chief Findeisen: no report

Deputy Chief Turnberg: no report

Training Officer Mike Misto: no report

Committee Reports: Children's Christmas Party Comm.; party was on Dec. 11th, cost was $545.29, 24 attended with 27 signing up to attend. Mrs. Klume donated $30 -, she is Mrs. Scanlons daughter. Sunshine Comm.; ok. Incentive Comm.; Had discussion tonight, will have another discussion before next meeting.

Communications: none

Unfinished Business: Sam Homsi qualified for junior member incentive. Angelo DiSpirito needs to be contacted about continued membership. Thanks to all who helped at the Lenny Colucci funeral. The Department sent flowers to his family. A motion was made and accepted to send $200 - to Westerly Hospital in his memory. A motion was made and approved to spend $100 for a plaque to be presented to his family to show our appreciation for the support he gave the Department. Tonight's moment of silence will be in Lenny Colucci's honor.

New Business: Justin Sposato accepted as a Senior probationary member as of last month.
