MINUTES OF FIRE DEPARTMENT MEETING
OF THE
MISQUAMICUT FIRE DISTRICT

February 7, 2006

The Meeting was called to order at 7:00PM by Member Gil Scott. The meeting minutes from the January 3rd, 2006 meeting were read. A motion was made, seconded and voted to accept the meeting minutes. The Treasurer reported a balance of $10,744.62, of which $7,464.34 is in the contingency fund. A motion was made, seconded and voted to accept the Treasurer's Report after some discussion.

Chief Misto: See Chief with any last minute budget items. Gutter out back is fixed, need to power wash back of building and caulk building joint at a future work night. Currently negotiating a Scott air-pak purchase at reduced cost, they are new and used.

Deputy Chief Findeisen: no report

Deputy Chief Turnberg: Thanks to all members who attended training in Watch Hill last week.

Training Officer Mike Misto: no report

Committee Reports: Sunshine; Chief Misto recovering from minor surgery. Banquet; Possible pasta bar to be held at Venice with wives or girlfriends. No banquet determined yet, ideas sought from members. Suggestion for picnic and softball game after summer.

Communications: Received letter from Westerly Hospital acknowledging our donation in memory of Lenny Colucci.

Unfinished Business: none

New Business: FFII classes to be held at Center Groton Fire starting 3/15. FFII classes to be held at Westerly Fire starting on 2/20, see training officer if interested.

Remarks for the Good of the Department: Roger Hall complimented WAC's response to a call for his grandson's seizure. They arrived in a timely manner and were very professional. He was impressed. His grandson is in ICU in Providence. The plaque for Lenny Colucci is still in the works.

A motion was made and seconded to adjourn the meeting at 7:29 PM.
