MISQUAMICUT FIRE DISTRICT
June 18, 2005

REPORT FOLLOWING ELECTION

The reconvened meeting of the June 11, 2005 Annual Meeting was held for the purpose of conducting an election for the position of Tax Assessor for the Misquamicut Fire District. Two names had been submitted for the Tax Assessor. The candidates for Tax Assessor were Sylvester Murano Jr. and Steven Pont. The election was held from 8:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. and the results were announced after the votes were counted: Steven Pont was elected Tax Assessor (Pont 144 votes and Murano 133 votes). The meeting was adjourned at 2:19 p.m.

Note: A recount was requested by Sylvester Murano and was conducted at the Westerly Town Hall on Thursday June 23, 2005. Although there were some voters disqualified the overall election results were the same with Steven Pont elected Tax Assessor.
